Archibald here is my great grandfather. He married Agnes Stevenson, who was previously married to his brother, Ramsey, who died aged 29, about a year previously.

Archibald was a colliery surface overseer, and remarried in 1935.

In the 1891 census, he was living in Stobhill, Midlothian, listed as an unmarried coalminer aged 23. His address was 3 Crichton's Land. He boarded with the Learmonth family, consisting of Robert & Agnes, and their 3 children Annie, Francis & John, all under 6 years old.
